We are what we think about, so what are we thinking about? Moments that Matter, Christian Questions
While on house arrest under Roman guard, the Apostle Paul wrote the Philippian church a comprehensive letter concerning their Christian growth. He basically concludes this letter in Philippians 4:8. Paraphrased it says, ‘finally, whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely or of good report, if there is anything excellent or praiseworthy, dwell on these things.’
In a recent podcast we observed how Paul set a broad foundation to feed our Christian mindset. Throughout Philippians he taught us to handle limiting circumstances, to work through our issues with unity and to leave old standards of success behind and instead choose a life of sacrifice.

He then gave us the “dwell upon these things” list. This was no list of simple preoccupations, it was a list of solid, connected, sequential, and foundational Christian priorities. First: dwell on what is true. Not general worldly truth, but godly eternal truth. This dwelling point would be the basis for all that followed.
What does Paul really mean when he asks us to "think on these things" in his letter to the Philippians and what does that mean for us? For the answers to these questions and supporting scriptures listen to the full podcast: https://christianquestions.com/character/1281-christian-thinking-i/
