Using Everyday Connections in a Small-Group Setting
Westminster John Knox Press
Pastor Karyn Bodenschatz (First Lutheran Church in Onalaska, WI) shares how they use “Everyday Connections” in small-group settings and the impact doing so has had in the life of their church.
“Everyday Connections” is a three-volume series that contains a full, fifty-two weeks of devotional material for each of the three years of the Revised Common Lectionary (Years A and C are now available and Year B releases in the Fall of 2023). Drawing from the insightful Bible commentaries in the Connections series, each week also includes scriptural and literary readings, lectio divina, spiritual practices, questions for journaling, and prayers. This resource has been crafted with mainline, lectionary preachers in mind, both to supplement their planning for the week and to feed their souls in the midst of the work of ministry.

“What a rich devotional! Scripture—beribboned with trenchant questions, goading insights, invitations to sit, to pray, to write. Invitations to read Zora Neale Hurston and W. H. Auden. Yes, please!” -Lauren F. Winner, author of Wearing God
