Now, when we hear the word "altar," we tend to think of a pile of rocks that you offer a sacrificed animal on. But the purpose and meaning of an alter and is much more profound. I want you to think of the altar as a Business Table between 2 realms. Heaven and Earth.
It's a place where transactions happens. A place of trade. The altar is the place where the visible world meets the invisible world, and a swap takes place. You put something on the altar or table, and God puts gives something back.

You put a sacrifice on the altar. For example, if you're fasting, that means you put your food on the Altar. If you're tithing that means you put your wallet on the Altar. If you're serving God, then you're putting your time and effort on the Altar.

But here is the beautiful mystery of the Kingdom: The math doesn't make sense. It is completely rigged in your favor.
You see, at the Altar, at God’s table, the items you put on are only "Temporary." But what you get back is eternal.

Your time, your money, your energy, are only temporary. But what God gives back "Eternal." Like spiritual authority and His Kingdom. It is the best business deal you will ever make. Your rags for His Riches.

Take tithing, for example. Some people think it’s just paying a bill. No, friends, it’s an altar transaction! You are taking your wallet—something temporary, something that passes away—and you are laying it on the altar. In exchange, God releases a spiritual protection and blessing over your life that money can't buy.

Take fasting. That’s when you take your stomach—your temporary hunger, your need for comfort—and you lay it down. You say, "God, I’m
