In 1 Samuel 14, the Philistines positioned themselves to fight against King Saul and Israel. The Israelites were terrified, and they ran and hid. But Jonathan, King Saul’s son, had crazy faith. He and his armor bearer dared to show themselves to the Philistines. “Come up,” the enemy told them. Jonathan told his armor bearer. “Come up after me: for the LORD has delivered them into the hand of Israel” (1 Samuel 14:12). And the Lord gave Israel the victory and delivered the Philistines into the hand of Israel all because of one man who believed, “If God be for you, no one can be against you.”
