The Reason I (Don't) Want to Be a Christian - José Calvo
'There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.' These words were part of the (in)famous campaign led by atheist scientist Richard Dawkins, in which buses running through England shared this message. Is there any truth behind this statement? Is God someone we should 'worry about' and so would we actually be better off without him? In this talk, we look at the rising 'nones' affiliation and how we can be more effective in sharing the Good News in a world that considers Christianity 'bad news.'

José Calvo Aguilar is a pastor and theologian serving in Žilina, Slovakia. Originally from Spain, he moved to Slovakia following God's calling when he was 18 years old and has been serving there since. He is the co-host of the award-winning podcast "Zabudnuté Cesty", as well as the co-author of 3 books in the Slovak language and the pastor of the Free Evangelical Church in Žilina, a church focused on loving Jesus and the people in the community just where they are. José is married to Lucia and has two kids, Amélia and Edmund.
