But it does not feel that way. It feels like an attack. It feels like the worst possible timing. It feels like something is trying to push YOU out of the place YOU worked so hard to build, away from the comfort YOU finally found, into a season YOU never would have chosen. And everything in YOU is resisting it, praying for it to stop, asking God why He is allowing something this hard.

Acts 8 is about a moment exactly like that.

Something devastating hit a group of people all at once — a wave of pressure so intense it scattered them, drove them out of the place they called home, and forced them into unfamiliar territory they never planned to go to. By every measure, it was the worst thing that could have happened. It looked like the end of everything they had built.

It was the beginning of everything they were made for.
