The Love That Controls Us: Remembering the Cross (Lord's Supper)

At the Lord’s Table, this exhortation walks through 2 Corinthians 5:14–21 to show how the cross is our motive, our message, and our miracle. The love of Christ displayed at Calvary compels believers to live no longer for themselves but for Him; the cross is God’s public act of reconciling sinners to Himself and entrusting them with the message of reconciliation; and the cross creates a new identity, making us new creations and the righteousness of God in Christ. As we eat and drink, we confess that our sin is nailed to the tree, our lives are no longer our own, and our only boast is in what God has done for us in His Son.
