The Idea YOU Keep Having May Be God, and Not YOU

You have been waiting to hear a voice — and missing the way God has actually been speaking to YOU.

Many of God's people are so fixed on hearing something dramatic and audible that they overlook the quieter, more constant way the Holy Spirit leads: through the thoughts, the ideas, the plans, and the holy desires He places in YOUR mind and heart. YOU dismiss it as "just my own idea" and move on — never realizing it may have been God all along. Tonight's teaching was built to open YOUR eyes to it.

Scripture is full of this, once YOU start to see it.

There is a promise about a Guide who leads YOU into truth, who teaches YOU and brings things to YOUR remembrance. And then, over and over, YOU find the same quiet phrase: a plan that came "by the Spirit," something God "put in his heart" to do, an understanding placed in a mind, a desire stirred in someone who then acted on it. These were not booming voices from the sky. They were thoughts and impressions God planted — and the people who recognized them changed history.

Here is what most people miss.

The reason YOU keep dismissing it is that it sounds like YOU. It comes in YOUR own thoughts, in YOUR own voice, as what feels like YOUR own idea — so YOU assume it originated with YOU. But these passages reveal that God often leads precisely this way, blending His direction into YOUR thinking so seamlessly that discernment is required to recognize it. The recurring idea, the persistent impression, the holy desire that will not leave YOU — that may not be YOU at all.

And once YOU learn to recognize it, everything changes.

Because YOU stop waiting on a voice YOU may never hear in the way YOU expected, and YOU start paying attention to how God is already speaking — in the plans He establishes when YOU commit YOUR works to Him, in the desires He gives when YOU
