The First Mention of Prayer in the Bible Isn't What You Think

So what is the first prayer in the Bible? The answer depends on how you count. In this Bible study, Michael Wilson walks through four surprising firsts: the first words a human ever spoke to God, the first mention of prayer, the first personal request brought to God, and the first time the Bible uses the Hebrew word for prayer. You will see Adam hiding in the garden, Seth's family calling on the Lord in a violent world, Abram asking God for a son, and Abraham praying for someone else while his own prayer was still unanswered.

If you have ever felt too weak to pray, this message is for you. You do not have to be strong to pray. Prayer started with people who knew they were frail.
