Peter refers to Luke 3:1 for the beginning of John The Baptist ministry. The text says in the 15th year of Tiberius. He began his reign in 14 AD to 37 AD which means John started his ministry in 29 AD. If Jesus ministry was about 3 1/2 years 33 AD fits.
