The Clark Family Creative on the Polar Express
The Clark Family Creative
Hey guys! Happy Christmas Eve! Tonight, we thought we’d share a little glimpse at one of our favorite Christmas traditions. About 7 years ago we started our family’s version of the Polar Express. It would start with our normal bedtime routine for the kids. They’d have a baths/shower, brush their teeth, put on pajamas and then finally a kiss and a hug goodnight just like every other night. Once they were in bed, Colt would hang Christmas lights in the van while I made hot chocolate and filled the van with pillows and blankets. After we were finished, we’d ring a bell downstairs. The kids would come out of their rooms, looking confused about what was going on. When they got downstairs we’d tell them the Polar Express had just pulled up in our driveway. They’d run outside, get in the van, roll down the windows, get cozy under the blankets and we’d drive all around town looking at Christmas lights until they were sleepy. As they’ve gotten older and stay up a bit later it is getting harder for the Polar Express to be a surprise as they usually catch us trying to sneak blankets into the Expedition. 😊 This year we pulled it off though! We hope you enjoy one of our favorite holiday traditions. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and many new memories with the ones you love.

Hello everyone! We're the Clark family. Colt (the dad) is a professional musician and Aubree (me, the mom behind the camera) is a photographer. Together we home school our three children (even when we're not in the middle of a pandemic). :) To keep busy during the shutdown we started learning and recording a new song every other day to share with
