Here’s how it works:<br />
S- Specific. For example, choosing a walking program to complete is a specific goal.<br />
M- Measurable. Train to walk a 5k, 10k, half-marathon or full marathon.<br />
A- Attainable. Select a realistically trainable and attainable distance with the option of progressing the distance as you train.<br />
R- Relevant. Walking (or using your arms to push a wheelchair) can easily be incorporated into your activities of daily living and is something you can do anytime and anywhere. No equipment needed.<br />
T- Time-Bound. Determine your timeline. Your training program can be as short as 6 weeks or as long as 6 months.<br />
