I turned my attention from the DJ to the end of the aisle, and before my eyes could adjust, I sensed a holy beauty beaming in my direction. Something was physically there, but in its initial presence, I struggled to comprehend what it was. It was like the heavens opened up before me, offering me a glimpse inside, but my earthly flesh was too simple to grasp it. The spiritual encounter brought me to tears as my eyes finally caught up with my heart, and I finally understood what my eyes were beholding.
It was Nia… in a wedding dress… my bride… as if she had teleported straight from the day I fell in love with her, her full beauty tantalizingly shrouded behind a thin wedding veil. Her eyes sparkled with innocence, and her smile, radiant and sincere, turned me back into the lovestruck teenager who had been completely enamored by the first sight of her five years earlier."
