YOU did the thing YOU believed God told YOU to do. YOU stepped out, YOU said yes, YOU moved in the direction YOU were sure He pointed. And almost immediately, instead of smooth sailing, YOU hit wind. Resistance. Delay. Opposition that pushed back so hard YOU started to wonder if YOU had misread the whole thing. Because surely, if YOU were really in God's will, it would not be this difficult — right?
The account behind this message takes that assumption apart. Because the people in this story did not drift into the storm by accident, and they did not end up there because they disobeyed. They were there because they obeyed. The One they followed personally put them on that path — sent them out, pointed them to the other side — and only then did the wind turn contrary and the waves start to rise.
Read that again. The assignment came first. The storm came second. And the storm did not cancel the assignment.
Here is what most people miss. While they were straining against the wind, convinced they were alone and maybe off course, He had not forgotten where He sent them. He was aware of their struggle the entire time — and at a specific hour, in a way no one expected, He came to them right in the middle of the very resistance His own instructions had led them into.
Because resistance is not proof YOU took a wrong turn. Very often it is proof YOU are exactly where God sent YOU — and the enemy is pushing back because YOU are headed somewhere that matters.
The wind being against YOU does not mean God is against YOU. A hard middle does not mean a wrong beginning. The direction was right even though the water got rough.
Not lost. Not off course. Not disqualified by how much resistance YOU are facing. Not abandoned in a storm YOUR obedience led YOU straight into.
Keep rowing. The One who sent YOU is already on His way to
