Reclaiming The Gospel In Kenya

In Kenya, as across much of Africa, many pastors serve without access to formal theological training. The result is serious. False teaching spreads easily, and the prosperity gospel often replaces the true gospel of Christ.

Southern Seminary student Joshua Lemaiyan pastors in Nairobi and sees this challenge every day. With a rapidly growing Christian population, the question is not whether the church in Africa will grow, but what kind of Christianity will shape that growth. Joshua is committed to preaching the gospel clearly, discipling believers faithfully, and training other pastors to handle God’s Word with care.

Through his studies at Southern Seminary, Joshua is gaining the theological depth needed to confront error and strengthen the church. His vision reaches beyond his own congregation, working to make sound theological education more accessible to pastors across Africa.

A church facing serious challenges needs leaders who are prepared to rightly handle the Word of truth. Southern Seminary exists to educate ministers of the gospel, so you can be ready for a lifetime of faithfulness.
