John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

This verse tells us how much God loves us and what he did to save us from our sins. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us, so that we can have eternal life with him. Whoever believes in Jesus and trusts him as their Lord and Savior will not be condemned, but will be forgiven and accepted by God.

God's love is not based on our performance, our goodness, or our worthiness. It is based on his grace, his mercy, and his compassion. He loves us unconditionally and sacrificially. He loves us so much that he gave us the greatest gift of all: his Son. We can never repay him for what he has done for us, but we can respond to his love by believing in him and following him.

Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me so much that you gave your only Son for me. I believe in Jesus and I receive him as my Lord and Savior. I thank you for forgiving me and giving me eternal life. Help me to love you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love others as you have loved me. In Jesus' name, Amen
