Jesus Was NOT An Immigrant

In recent years, Christians on the political left have increasingly used the birth narratives of Jesus to argue for illegal immigration and open borders, often portraying Mary and Joseph as outsiders rejected by a hostile society. This video examines those claims carefully by defining what “immigrant” and “refugee” actually mean, tracing Jesus’ early movements from Nazareth to Bethlehem and then to Egypt, and placing those events in their proper historical and political context. Rather than importing modern categories into the text, we ask what the biblical record actually says, and how far those conclusions can responsibly be taken when Christians discuss immigration today.
