In Numbers 11, Moses was burdened by the weight of his responsibility of leading the children of Israel into the promised land and teaching them God’s ways. “The load is far too heavy for me,” Moses said. Moses would almost rather die than bear the burden of the people. God heard Moses’s prayer, and he filled seventy other men with the Holy Spirit to help Moses share the weight of leadership.
