Islam and idolatry - A match made in Jannah!

In order for our Islamic friends to enter Jannah, or paradise, it is required of them by allah to take part in Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca) at least once in their lifetime.
During the Hajj, they will take part in many religious activities, including circling the Kaaba 7 times and kissing the black stone... Where did these practices originally come from?
