When should we speak up and when should we keep silent? The bible actually has a lot to say about these key questions. Ecclesiastes 3:7b, "A time to be silent and a time to speak."

We will look at some of these passages:

Proverbs 26:4-5 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Or you will also be like him. [5] Answer a fool as his folly deserves, That he not be wise in his own eyes.

Jude 1:3 Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.

1 Peter 3:15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
