Is the New Covenant different from God's other covenants? Moments that Matter, Christian Questions
Why would God need to make a new covenant? Did He goof with the Law, which the New Covenant replaces? Was this a readjustment because the Law couldn’t bring His chosen people to Him? Not at all!
In a recent podcast we observed, the Law of Moses with its rituals and sacrifices, existed to bring Israel into God’s favor. The New Covenant replaces it because Jesus is its mediator. His one-time sacrifice, paid for the sins of all people. The Law Covenant therefore was a steppingstone to bring us to the New Covenant.

Who is this New Covenant for? Many Christians believe it was for Jesus’ followers. However, several prophecies teach the New Covenant is made with Israel as it focuses on their land as well. This needs further exploration.
