Ross Hendry serves as CEO of CARE since his appointment in November 2021. Prior to joining CARE, he was the CEO of Spurgeons', one of the UK’s largest children’s charities. He has also served as Deputy CEO at the office for the Children’s Commissioner in England and as Head of Public Policy at Action for Children. In 2005, he stood as a Parliamentary candidate for the Labour Party and has worked in a number of other roles in think tanks, the public sector, and the trade union movement.

Caroline Ansell leads policy development and parliamentary engagement for CARE. Prior to that, she was a campaigner and politician, serving in local government and then as the Member of Parliament for Eastbourne until the GE of 2024. Representing a coastal constituency, her major local partnerships centred on health, the environment and the economy, bringing people together to secure transformational investment in the local area. In Parliament, her 20-year career in education led to engagement with No. 10 and ministers, sharing her understanding of national policy and international best practice, to promote the highest aspirations for every child.
