How strong are my relationships? Pt 3 Moments that Matter, Christian Questions


“You can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your relatives.” “Getting along” isn’t necessarily easy or natural. Our relationships with fellow Christians are not based on personal preferences or family blood lines. In a recent podcast we observed that our fellow Christians could be those we have avoided or those who were former enemies. Now they’re supposed to be closer than a brother!

This close connection with those who may be our opposites, can be an invitation for disaster. Just ask those who were the earliest Christians. Jewish culture had always avoided Gentile influence. Now as disciples, both groups were instructed to leave their past behind and be unified as a brotherhood.
