How I Used A Viral Instagram Reel to Further My Business! *Read Description* #socialmediatips #viral

Two weeks ago I uploaded this video about rip currents to one of our AirBnb Instagram accounts. And to my surprise it ended up going viral bringing in over 4500 new followers to the account and almost 4,000,000 views! But the best part.... 3 new bookings for our beach property in one week!

How did it go viral? Well, it was several things. First, I made sure details about how to book the property were in the video description even though that was not the point of the video.

I also used my other 3 Instagram accounts to share the video and get more views. Plus, once I knew it was going viral I talked about it's "viral-ness" on my stories. Everyone wants to see and share things that are already popular!

I also shared the viral IG video to my personal Facebook profile and my business Facebook page. I had to strike while the iron was hot to take advantage of the attention the video was getting!

When Good Morning America contacted me to ask permission use my video on their morning show, I agreed as long as they credited "Boujee On
the Beach" (the name of the property and the Instagram handle), not me.

So, I always teach in my business coaching, to always post on any platform assuming you never know what will go viral but you want a strong call to action already in place if it does.

And always leverage your other socials and all your followers to continue giving steam to a video that already has momentum.
