How generous should we be? Christian Questions, Moments that Matter

Generosity is often expressed when something touches our hearts. This is good but Christian giving should be modeled after God’s own principles of generosity, one of which is to always give for the ultimate good of the recipient.<br />

In a recent podcast we examined how to give to others while keeping everyone’s ultimate good in mind. Here’s a good theme thought; “Don’t just give to bail someone out of a problem, give to build them up.” This kind of giving stretches us to a higher level of thinking and action.<br />

There are many ways to give. We can support financially. We can help with ongoing physical needs be they food, shelter or physical aid. We can also contribute through the generous gift of our time.<br />
