The book of Hebrews is a deep treatise that emphatically teaches the value of Jesus as the centerpiece of God’s plan. It was written (we believe by the Apostle Paul) to help the Jewish Christians of his time break their generational reliance on the Old Testament Law. This was not easy as keeping the Law was the only way they had ever known to remain in God’s favor.

This process began with the brilliance of not even mentioning his own name to take away any preconceived ideas about hearing from the former Pharisee who now spent so much time with former Gentiles. He next crafted a common and comfortable base of credibility with his Jewish Christian brethren.
He then focused on the Old Testament scriptures as his primary teaching source. His was built message with subtle power and outright logic. Jesus was, is and always will be the most important part of God’s plan.
