Hearing God in the Silence | A Teaching with Alisa Keeton
How do you hear God when He seems silent? What if God’s silence doesn’t mean His absence?
In this teaching, Revelation Wellness founder Alisa Keeton explores how to hear God’s voice, make room for silence, and rest in His presence—even when you don’t hear Him speaking the way you expect.

“The silence holds me.”
After attending a silent retreat, Alisa began to experience God’s presence in a new way. In a season when she struggled to hear Him speaking, she discovered that silence didn’t mean God had left her. He was teaching her to rest in His love.
“Without the ability to hear the voice of God, to hear we got no chance at living out the love of God, which is a response to the love we’ve received.”
We live in a world overflowing with noise, information, and constant connection. But are we making room to listen? In this teaching, Alisa unpacks the biblical invitation to hear first and explores the difference between doing things for God and simply being with Him.
You don’t have to strive for a new revelation or wait for a specific directive. Sometimes, the invitation is simply to sit at Jesus’ feet, quiet your heart, and receive His presence.

EMBODIED PRACTICE: ONE MINUTE OF SILENCE
Take one minute to be still with God. Settle your shoulders, quiet the noise around you, and notice what’s happening in your body without trying to fix it. Give yourself permission to be present and discover what it feels like to simply be with Him.
REFLECTION QUESTION
What does silence mean to you? What might change if you made space to listen?
