Gospel of Caesar vs Gospel of Christ

Did you know the Roman Empire had its own “gospel”? And it had nothing to do with Jesus.

In 9 BC, Roman leaders declared the birthday of Caesar Augustus the beginning of the good news for the world.
They called him “Savior,” “Son of God,” and “Lord.” His birth literally reshaped the calendar.

But decades later, Paul shows up preaching something radical in 1 Thessalonians 1:10:

“They speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven—Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment.”
It wasn’t Caesar who could save them. It was Jesus.

[Final Challenge]
So who do you trust to bring real peace?
The empire said Caesar.
Paul said Jesus.
History still says: Jesus is Lord.
