“God Told Me to Marry You?” (Why You MUST Test the Spirits)
Sometimes people say, “God told me…” — but how do we know if it’s really from God? In this story, a college student heard, “The Lord told me I’m supposed to be your wife.” Instead of blindly accepting it, the response was simple: “Tell me how He told you.”
The Bible reminds us to test everything and hold fast to what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Not every claim of divine direction comes from the Holy Spirit—sometimes it’s just personal desire disguised as God’s voice.
➡️ Watch this short to learn why testing what people claim God says is not doubt—it’s obedience.
➡️ Drop a comment: Have you ever heard someone say “God told me…” in a way that didn’t line up with Scripture?
