We discovered a nest of innocent baby bunnies in our yard after cleaning up a fallen tree limb. The kids were excited and cradled the fragile bunnies, but sadly, one escaped and was killed by our dog, and another didn't survive. It became clear the mother had abandoned the babies, and we watched the last one take its final breath, a heartbreaking family experience and a great reminder of the value of life for all species.
