FAQ: Why Don't the Kids Sing?
Hey guys! We are going to try a new series of videos here and there as we can fit it in, answering your frequently asked questions. If you regularly attend our livestream shows you probably know the answers to many of these, as we answer all the most frequently asked questions during those live chats. 😊 Tonight’s question is one we get ALL THE TIME! Sometimes it’s a simple question wondering why the kids don’t sing more or if they care to. Sometimes it’s less friendly, accusing Colt of trying to steal the show, or even worse telling the kids they need to “step it up” and start singing. I answer that same question very differently. One way of asking that question gets a response video. The other way gets you deleted and blocked before you have time to scratch your head and wonder where we went. 😊 I’m a wife and mom first, always. That being said, we are happy to answer this one! I’ll let you listen to the video and let the kids speak for themselves, but the gist of it is, they have sung many times. Bellamy has taken lead several times, and she and the boys have both sung backup for Colt in many videos. Sometimes they want to sing, sometimes they don’t, and sometimes the time it takes to learn harmony, lyrics and play a song at the same time doesn’t line up with the time we have available to learn it in that day. The bottom line is, singing, playing and making these videos will always be their choice. We would love for them to sing as much as they want to. This is a fun activity for our family to do together and we always want to keep it that way. We hope this answers your questions about this topic. Hello everyone! We're the Clark family. Colt (the dad) is a professional musician and Aubree (me, the mom behind the camera) is a photographer. Together we home school our three children.
