King Herod was one of the most powerful rulers in the ancient world. When the Wise Men arrived asking "Where is the newborn King of the Jews?" — Herod was furious. He assembled his chief priests and scribes, gathered his intelligence, and formed a secret plan to destroy the Son of God. And God stopped him before he even started.
"After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was." — Matthew 2:9 (NLT)
Let these words resonate within your heart today. God sent a star. He guided the Wise Men around the enemy. He warned them in a dream. He redirected their entire path. And while Herod sat in his palace plotting — the Wise Men were already worshipping Jesus and the plan of destruction had already FAILED. Take comfort in this — the same God who redirected the Wise Men around Herod is redirecting every enemy plan around YOU right now.
"When Herod realized that the wise men had outwitted him, he was furious." — Matthew 2:16 (NLT)
Understand this — Herod was not just stopped. He was OUTWITTED. God did not merely block the enemy's plan — He made the enemy look foolish. Every elaborate scheme, every carefully laid trap, every assignment formed against your destiny — God has already outwitted it. The enemy is furious because the plan failed. And it failed because God was already ten steps ahead.
