Do the covenants of God all last forever? Moments that Matter, Christian Questions
When we think of God’s eternal promises, two come to mind. First, the rainbow promise given to Noah about never again flooding the earth. Second, the Abrahamic promise about his lineage blessing of all the families of the earth.
In a recent podcast we observed both of these covenants show us God unilaterally shaping humanity’s eternal future. It’s so comforting to count on the eternal commitment of God, to His promises!

There’s more. God promised eternal rulership would come from David’s kingly lineage. He also promised an everlasting “new covenant of peace”. All these promises are fundamentally related as parts of the original path that God revealed to Adam and Eve.
