Do I walk in the spirit or my human nature? (Pt 2) Moments that Matter, Christian Questions
Lists can teach us a lot if we pay attention. Paul in Galatians 5 gave us two opposite kinds of lists. First, he listed the works of the flesh and then contrasted them with the fruit of the spirit. In part one of this multiple part series, we closely examined the first two categories of these works of the flesh. They include things like immorality, sensuality, and idolatry.
In a recent podcast we discussed the last three categories of fleshly works. They address personal and group relationships and reckless behavior. Of the several human propensities that feed these categories, let’s just mention hostility and strife. Hostility is internal and lodges, grows and stays hidden in our hearts and minds.

Strife is external and is being engaged in contention and quarreling. Strife feeds off of hostility. There is a cause-and-effect relationship between them. Many deeds of the flesh have this same relationship. Paul’s list and its order have a lot to teach!
How do we ruin relationships by the way that we interact with others? How do we manage reckless behavior and what does that mean? For the answers to these questions and supporting scriptures listen to the full podcast here: https://christianquestions.com/character/1255-works-of-the-flesh-part-ii/
