Do I suffer from rapture anxiety? Pt 3 Moments that Matter, Christian Questions

The scriptures in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 are interpreted very dramatically by rapture adherents. Jesus returns with an audible cry, the blast of a trumpet and immediately raises all faithful Christians who had died over the last 2,000 years. In the next moment he snatches up to Heaven, those Christians who are still alive on earth. What remains behind is anarchy, fear and destruction.

In a recent podcast we observed that this rapture teaching could not be further from the true meaning of those scriptures. In parts 1 and 2 of our series we discussed how Jesus’ return begins “as a thief in the night.” We defined the spiritual nature of the shout and the trumpet. We talked about what the dead in Christ rising first means. All of these carefully considered details firmly disprove the rapture teaching.
