Commit the PLAN… God Knows How to Direct YOUR STEPS

Somewhere along the way YOU picked up the idea that a truly spiritual person just waits, does nothing, makes no plans, and calls that faith. So now YOU feel guilty for the dream YOU wrote down, the goal YOU set, the direction YOU mapped out — like wanting a plan means YOU are not really trusting God with it. And that guilt has YOU frozen between two things YOU think YOU cannot do at the same time: plan, and trust.

The verses behind this message break that false choice completely. They do not tell YOU to stop planning. They tell YOU to make the plan — and then commit it. One passage even says to write the vision down and make it plain. These Scriptures assume YOU will have a plan. The question they answer is what to do with it once YOU do.

Here is what most people miss. There is a specific exchange built into one of these verses — YOU commit one thing, and in return God establishes something else — and the two things are not the same. When YOU understand what YOU hand over and what He takes responsibility for, the pressure YOU have been carrying to control every outcome finally comes off YOUR shoulders.

Because YOUR job was never to direct YOUR own steps. YOUR job is to commit the plan. His job is to order the steps, set the timing, and finish what He started in YOU.

There is also a promise about timing hidden in these verses — about an appointed moment that will not be a day early or a day late — that changes how YOU wait when the plan YOU committed has not happened yet.

Not aimless. Not passive. Not forced to choose between planning and trusting. Not responsible for an outcome God already took on Himself.

Commit the plan. Then watch the One who began a good work in YOU be faithful to complete it.
