Anxiety is an enemy of the heart. In part 1 of our series, we talked about how Jesus showed us the depths of damage that anxiety brings. In his Matthew 6 teachings, he emphasized that anxiety stems from human insecurity and self-perception but can be mitigated by viewing life through God’s perspective.
Built upon this is the critical concept of productive anxiety, the process of training our anxious thoughts and energy towards mutual strengthening and passionate caring for others. Unlike obsessive anxiety, which is self-focused and paralyzing, productive anxiety is motivated by genuine concern for our fellow Christians.
