Blind Ambition vs. True Discipleship
9 views,
In this sermon from Mark 10:32–45, we witness Jesus leading the way to Jerusalem with unshakable courage, setting His face like flint toward the cross. Yet in the midst of His declaration of suffering, the disciples reveal their blindness through selfish ambition, seeking seats of honor. Christ gently redirects them, teaching that true greatness is not found in power or prestige, but in servanthood, humility, and sacrifice. Just as He came not to be served but to serve and give His life a ransom for many, so too must His followers deny self, take up the cross, and live for the glory of God alone.
