In this video, I respond to recent comments made by Kirk Cameron about hell, eternal punishment, and why his remarks caused immediate backlash among Christians. Many believers assume the Bible teaches eternal conscious torment, but Scripture itself repeatedly describes the fate of the wicked as death, destruction, and perishing—not endless suffering. By examining key passages like John 3:16, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20–21, and Matthew 10:28, this video challenges popular assumptions and asks whether tradition has replaced careful biblical study. We also explore the timing and purpose of hellfire, showing that judgment occurs in the future and results in the final destruction of sin, not its eternal preservation. More importantly, this discussion raises a deeper question about the character of God and whether fear-based theology truly reflects the gospel revealed in Jesus Christ. The Bible presents a God who is both just and loving, who brings sin to an end rather than sustaining suffering forever. In the end, this is not just a debate about hell—it’s about who God is and how His love, justice, and mercy are revealed through Scripture.
