In his forum address, Larry L. Howell shares the importance of collaborative engineering and presents his research on compliant mechanisms. In 2023, Howell revisited both of these topics in an epic collaboration with one of his former students: Mark Rober. Rober, a YouTuber famous for his engineering feats, recently worked alongside BYU faculty members to create the world's smallest Nerf gun.
