Am I throwing away my life's greatest privileges? (Pt II )Moments that Matter, Christian Questions
In part 1 of this two-part series, we saw that Solomon’s son Rehoboam became king over Israel when he died. Because the people were so burdened by heavy taxes and forced labor, they rallied behind a valiant warrior named Jeroboam. God’s people split into two nations. Jeroboam ruled Israel to the north and Rehoboam ruled Judah to the south.
In a recent podcast we observed that these two men were given the opportunity of a lifetime. Both knew of God’s past deliverance and protection. Both knew Israel now wallowed in idolatry and disunity. Looking at the choices these two men faced, we can easily see the obvious course of action. Follow God! Do things His way! Let Him bless you AND the people!
