A Prayer to Overcome What’s Holding You Back | Your Daily Prayer
Your Daily Prayer
What's keeping you from moving forward?
Sometimes it isn't a closed door.
It's fear.
Insecurity.
Disappointment.
The need for control.
Someone else's opinion.
Or the memory of what happened the last time you stepped out in faith.
In today's Your Daily Prayer, Alisha Headley vulnerably shares how experiencing five miscarriages affected her ability to move forward without fear. Her story points to a struggle many of us understand: How do you trust God with what's ahead when what happened behind you still hurts?
Isaiah 43:18-19 says:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”
Moving forward doesn't require pretending the past never happened.
It doesn't mean your grief wasn't real.
And it doesn't mean God promises that the next step will produce the outcome you're hoping for.
It means refusing to let yesterday's pain make every decision about tomorrow.
You don't need the entire path before you.
You don't have to wait until you're completely unafraid.
Sometimes the next step begins with a simple prayer:
“God, I'm scared, but I trust You more.”
🙏 Pray with us today and ask God to reveal what you've been carrying that He may be asking you to surrender.
Comment: “Lord, help me take the next step.”
