A Prayer for my Dear Mother
Oh gracious and merciful Creator,
I come before You with a heart
full of thanksgiving and love
for the precious gift
You have bestowed upon me
in the form of my dear mother.
She is a beacon of light,
a source of unwavering strength,
and a reservoir of boundless love.
Today, I lift my voice and spirit in prayer,
seeking Your blessings and protection over her.
Lord, we thank You
for the example of Proverbs 31:26-27, which say,
"She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness
is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness."
Just as this verse describes a virtuous woman,
we thank You for our mother's wisdom,
for the countless sacrifices
she has made for us,
and her tireless efforts
in caring for our family.
Merciful Lord, I ask that
You bless her with health, happiness,
and peace that surpasses all understanding.
Heavenly Father, watch over my mother
with Your guiding hand.
Wrap her in Your comforting embrace,
and fill her days with joy,
laughter and serenity.
Shower her with good health
so that she may continue
to thrive and share her warmth
with all those around her.
Surround her with Your angels of protection,
keeping her safe from harm
and leading her along
the path of righteousness.
I pray that You grant her wisdom
and discernment in her decisions,
and let her heart be filled with Your light
so that she may continue
to inspire and uplift those around her.
Grant her the wisdom
to navigate life's challenges
and the courage to face them with grace.
May her heart be a wellspring of compassion,
kindness, and understanding,
inspiring everyone who crosses her path.
Bless her relationships, Dear God.
Strengthen the bonds of love within our family,
and may we always cherish and support one another,
just as she has always supported us.
