A difficult conversation.
Painful news.
A responsibility you don’t feel equipped to carry.
A season that already feels heavier than you can handle.
In today’s Your Daily Prayer, Keri Eichberger shares the heartbreaking moment she and her husband had to tell their children that their beloved family dog of ten years had only a few months left to live.
She didn’t know what to say.
She didn’t feel strong enough.
And then God brought Psalm 28:7 to mind:
“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.”
Sometimes God’s help doesn’t mean the hard thing disappears.
The conversation may still hurt.
The tears may still come.
The road may still be difficult.
But you don’t have to enter that moment depending entirely on your own strength.
God can give you wisdom for the conversation, strength for the moment, and grace for what comes afterward.
When your own capacity feels painfully small, remember:
Your confidence doesn’t have to rest in your ability to handle everything. It can rest in the God who goes with you.
