When another appointment gets scheduled?
When managing illness has simply become part of everyday life?
Or when you're exhausted from caring for someone you love?
Tonight's Your Nightly Prayer is for you.
Tonight's Scripture
“Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.” — Jeremiah 17:14
Rachel Wojo cared for her daughter, Taylor, through a progressive illness for 22 years. She knows that illness and caregiving often don't resemble dramatic movie scenes.
They're repetitive.
Medication.
Appointments.
Symptoms.
Waiting.
Watching.
Worrying.
And praying.
What do you pray when healing doesn't come?
Jeremiah's prayer reminds us that we can continue bringing our need for healing to God even when we don't know how or when healing will come.
Prayer is not a bargain that guarantees the outcome we want.
It is an act of trust.
We can ask God boldly for physical healing while also trusting Him when the answer does not arrive according to our timing or expectations.
And while we wait, there may be other places that desperately need His healing too:
Fear.
Discouragement.
Exhaustion.
Grief.
The heart of a caregiver who feels like they can't manage another day.
Tonight, you can bring all of it.
You don't have to stop asking because you're afraid of God's answer.
You don't have to pretend you're not tired.
And you don't have to manage everything while you sleep.
The Healer still heals.
The Savior still saves.
🙏 What part of illness or caregiving feels heaviest tonight?
Pray:
“Lord, I place this hurting body and weary heart in Your hands. Hold what I cannot manage while I rest.”
