A Prayer for Easter Sunday
Heavenly Father,
Our hearts are so full of joy today.
as we celebrate Easter
and the triumphant victory
of Jesus Christ over death and sin,
we fall down before You and worship You.
We are reminded of Your goodness
and all that you have done to show Your love for us.
We Thank You
for Your Amazing Grace and Mercy.
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
by Your radiant and magnificent resurrection,
You broke the bonds of death
and rose from the grave as a conqueror.
All of creation bows before You, Lord Jesus,
because You are the King of Kings
and the Lord of Lords
who has emerged victorious
and conquered death!
Jesus, our Saviour,
All Glory and Praise to You,
for You bring light to our darkness,
joy to our sorrow,
and fullness of Love to our Hearts.
On this Resurrection day,
we ask You to renew our hearts, minds and bodies
with the new joy of this Easter season.
Allow us to be a reflection
of Your Peace and Enlightenment to this world
which so desperately needs Your Eternal presence.
Grant us wisdom to know what we must do,
the will to want to do it,
the courage to undertake it,
the perseverance to continue to do it,
and the strength to complete it.
God, may we feel
the warm embrace of Your love
on this sacred day.
May the Glory of Jesus's resurrection
remind us that with You,
Nothing is impossible or without hope.
On this Holy day,
and in this Season of Renewal,
We pray in Thanksgiving
for the many Blessings You have given us.
May our words and deeds today, and always,
serve as reminders
of the transformative power of Your love.
May our meals be blessed
as we gather to celebrate together.
May Your love be shared amongst us
as we enjoy the gift of fellowship.
May we remember
to give out the grace and forgiveness
that you have freely given us.
And may we always give thanks
for your sacrificial love.
May we draw from the cross,
the power to be humble,
the strength to be meek,
the guidance to be true always.
