Days become shorter.

Schedules change.

Responsibilities shift.

And sometimes our circumstances change before we feel ready.

“...so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love...” — Ephesians 3:17

Scripture repeatedly uses the picture of deep roots to describe a life anchored in God.

Jeremiah 17 describes a tree planted beside water whose roots reach toward the stream. Heat comes. Drought comes. Circumstances change.

Yet the tree remains.

That's the kind of faith God wants to cultivate in us.

Not a life where difficult seasons never arrive.

But a life so deeply rooted in Him that changing circumstances don't determine whether we have peace.

Maybe you don't know what this season will hold.

Maybe something already feels uncertain.

Maybe you're feeling pressure to do more, accomplish more, or keep pace with everyone around you.

Tonight, you don't need to figure out the entire season ahead.

Let your roots grow deeper instead.

Remember where God has already been faithful.

Return to His Word.

Ask Him for strength.

And trust that the God who has carried you this far will remain with you in whatever season comes next.
