A Lost Jesus | Bishop Ronald Godbee
In Luke 2:41-50, Jesus’ parents lost track of Him during their journey, only to find Him in the temple, fully engaged in His Father’s work. Pastor Ronald Godbee challenges us to reflect on whether we, too, have lost sight of Jesus in our daily routines.
Following Christ isn’t about material gain but about staying close to Him. It’s possible to be active in ministry and still lose track of Jesus. Rituals can become routines, and routines can become dangerous when they cause us to drift from true worship. Attendance does not equal awareness.
The message calls us to seek Jesus again—not for what He can give, but for who He is. We must crucify personal agendas, refuse to offer God half hearted devotion, and pursue a true encounter with Him. No matter what we’ve lost, we must keep looking for Jesus.
