A different kind of New Year’s resolution…✨ #2024

2024 the year of being others-focused


When God put this on my heart, I knew it was going to be a challenge.

I’ll be the first to admit that I think about myself 99.9% of the time… I don’t need any more excuses for having a reason to think about myself.

But thinking about others? That is not something that comes naturally.

As a sinful human living under God’s grace every day, complimenting others is not something I think about doing very often. It’s definitely not a habit in my life.

And you know what? From the lack of compliments I hear others receiving, or the lack of compliments that I receive myself, I know it’s not a habit for many others either.

Let’s change that.

Let’s make 2024 a year where we compliment our spouses more, compliment our friends, compliment a stranger at the grocery store… our words can have a lasting impression on people, let’s use our words to uplift those around us.

1 Thessalonians 5:11
