1 John 5:14 states “if we ask anything according to his will” we will receive what we ask for. We often imagine prayer being a process where God submits to our will for him. But in reality, the Bible teaches us that prayer is more about us being conformed into God’s will for us.
2. If He Has Granted You the Faith to Believe He Will Answer This Prayer
As mentioned in point 1, if you have faith but it’s not God’s will, he won’t answer it. But according to Scripture, it’s a strong sign you won’t get what you ask for if you lack faith and a strong sign you will receive what you ask for if you do have faith (James 1:6-8, Mark 11:22-24).
